# goopdl > goopdl is an open-source (MIT) command-line tool, written in Python, that downloads APKs from Google Play without a Google account. It fetches the base APK plus split APKs, OBB expansion files and Play Asset Delivery packs, for ARM64, ARMv7, x86, x86_64 and Android TV. Key facts: - Install: prebuilt binary, no Python needed (Linux/macOS: `curl -fsSL https://villoh.github.io/goopdl/install.sh | sh`; Windows: `irm https://villoh.github.io/goopdl/install.ps1 | iex`), or `uv tool install goopdl` / `pipx install goopdl` (Python 3.10+). Try once with `uvx goopdl --help`. Also `nix run github:Villoh/goopdl`. - No account needed: anonymous tokens come from Aurora Store's public token dispenser and are pooled (5 per architecture and country, 50-minute lifetime). Signing in with a Google account (AAS token) is optional. - Main commands: `goopdl download ` (add `--splits` for split APKs, `--extras` for OBB files and asset packs), `goopdl latest` (newest version in a staged rollout), `goopdl info`, `goopdl search`, `goopdl list-splits`, `goopdl inspect-delivery`, `goopdl profiles`. - Any version: `-v` takes a version code (`231205015`) or a version string (`434.0.0.44.74`). - Regional builds: `--country` plus `--proxy`. Verified downloads: `--integrity-manifest` checks files against Google's SHA-256 digests. - After a split download it prints the matching `adb install-multiple` command. - Also a Python library: `goopdl.Client` (per-instance cache directory and account, sync and async downloads), `goopdl.api` (details, purchase, delivery, `download_app`), `goopdl.auth` (token pool), `goopdl.download` (async `download_files`), `goopdl.errors` (typed errors). - Independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Hard fork of appknox/gplaydl. ## Docs - [Installation](https://villoh.github.io/goopdl/docs/installation.md): uv, pipx, pip, Nix, Docker, pinning versions, building from source - [Command reference](https://villoh.github.io/goopdl/docs/commands.md): every command and flag, output file names, integrity manifest, exit codes - [Authentication](https://villoh.github.io/goopdl/docs/authentication.md): anonymous tokens, custom dispensers, Google account mode, getting an AAS token - [How it works](https://villoh.github.io/goopdl/docs/how-it-works.md): download pipeline, token pool, staged rollouts, device profiles, architectures - [Python library](https://villoh.github.io/goopdl/docs/library.md): using goopdl from Python and async backends, API reference, error hierarchy and retries, security, migrating from 1.4.x Every guide is also a web page at https://villoh.github.io/goopdl/docs// (Spanish: /es/docs//).
